Dota Sata (佐多道太) is a storyboard artist, visual development artist, and animator who is pursuing a career in the animation industry. In 2016, Dota received a BFA from Woodbury University in Burbank, CA, where he majored in Animation. He was awarded the “Best Student Award” for each of the four years he attended the university.

Born in Tokyo, Japan, he decided to come to the United States after working as a production manager for TV advertisement at TYO productions in Tokyo. For 15 years Dota played the cello as a soloist and a member of Ritz Solisten String Orchestra. He has also worked for Tokyo Disneyland as a performer and operator of rides. In addition, he received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Sociology at Rikkyo University of Tokyo.
